Say hello to Erik Otter, one of the most recent wildlife sculptures from my northern-England studio. This detailed sculpture captures a young European otter pup (Eurasian Otter – Lutra lutra) in rich, lifelike form: hand painted in warm chocolate browns and soft golden sand tones, Erik stands approx 14″ (35 cm) tall — life-size for a 3-4 month old young otter.
Every piece is entirely handmade in the UK. I start each new piece with a wax original sculpted by hand using traditional sculpting techniques. Subsequently, after moulding, each piece is cast in high-quality white resin, and finally hand-painted. This British hand made sculpture distinguishes himself from mass-produced figurines.

Availability & shipping…
At the moment, I have one painted Erik ready to ship in my studio (April 2026) for the price of £465 (plus delivery). The *UK shipping charge is £33 for Royal Mail tracked and insured delivery in purpose-built packaging. The price of the shipping reflected Erik’s price, as well as his weight (approx 7.5 kg packed) and his size. International delivery options available on request.

About the artist…
I have been working as a figurative sculptor for almost 40 years, practicing only traditional sculpting techniques. My wildlife pieces are rooted in careful anatomical observation and expressive sculpting, sculpted and finished in my rural Cumbria studio. The moulds and casts are produced for me by a specialist company based in the Cumbrian Lake District. My range spans life-size sculptures to more intimate pieces, all crafted with a passion for British wildlife.
