‘George’, my Red squirrel kitten sculpture is finally finished.
‘Charles’ and ‘Willow’, my red squirrel sculptures, have finally had their first offspring; ‘George’. I finished sculpting him in wax last week and took him to ‘Lakeland mouldings’ in the Lake district to be moulded. Today, I sold the final available ‘Charles’ of the limited edition of 100 ! I began selling ‘Charles’ just before Christmas, 2010. I’m going to miss making him, but ‘George’, the squirrel kitten, is on the way and ‘Willow’ and ‘Hope’ are selling well….

Spitfire commission
I have just been asked to sculpt four bronze Spitfires. They will be quite large and as they have no eyes and feet, a bit of a departure from my usual animal sculptures! I will post my progress as I go…. Here’s a picture I took of the real thing.
